Some people made a short video of my conversion project for some film thing! I was pretty nervous and don't like the way I sound on it, but anyways, it was a pretty fun experience.

Converting a gas Scion xA to a fully electric battery car.

Hey Tony,
I've been following your project - any updates?
Been bumps in the project, mostly due to the original batteries bought not being suitable, and the original methods devised to build the cells not being suitable. Originally I was going to build the packs using pressure to hold the cells together, but due to the high amperage draw, the cells need to be welded together. A welding machine is $5k. :(
Hi Tony, I am very interested in your project. Can you give any specs on your components? Motor, batteries, speed control, etc...
I have an xB and was concidering the conversion also.
Hi Robert,
Well, the finished car will hopefully have a 60 to 100 mile range at highway speeds, maybe 200 mile range at stop and go Los Angeles speeds where it will be used. :) 105HP peak, much faster than stock, and maybe a couple hundred pounds heavier than stock, but not too much heavier since it will be using lithium cells instead of lead-acid. - Tony
